Owned by Chanel Group, Château Canon Is a Bordeaux wine from the Saint-Emilion appellation,ranked among the Premiers grands crus.  Clos Canon is the excellent second wine of Château Canon. This property is superbly situated in the heart of Saint Emilion and is certainly one of the greatest terroirs of the appellation.

 

Following its purchase by Chanel in the mid 1990's, the property has been totally re-vitalised by Scotsman John Kolasa and the resultant leap in quality of the grand vin is mirrored by the second wine which is made very much in the same style but for earlier drinking.

  

Tasting Notes: Beautiful fruit with cherries,raspberries and citrus. Medium to full bodied, with wonderful acidity and a clean finish. This is a bright and beautiful wine.

 

 

Food Matching: Hard tos emi-soft cheese, Welsh Lamb, Chinese Roast Duck, Tuna
