Yamazaki is often referred to as being the pioneer of Japanese whisky and is Suntory's flagship single malt. This whisky is spiritua land deep, it's signature multi-layered taste is highly praised by whisky connoisseurs around the world. It's a magnificent job of blending with a unique character, offering unusual and attractive high quality single malts. There are three main ingredients in this single malt:

- A "young talent": whiskies less than 10 years old complementary matured during 6 months in French oak casks used for the maturation of French red wine from Bordeaux.

- An old whisky aged around 20 years in sherry casks, the very rare mizunara casks to enrich the flavored with a Japanese spicy note.

- A young whisky aged in Japanese oak casks, the very rare mizunara casks to enrich the flavored with a Japanese spicy note.

All in all, a top quality Japanese whisky with excellent value.

Tasting notes:  A fresh and fruity whisky from Yamazaki. It is full of complex character including red berry notes procured from the whisky being matured in Bordeaux wine casks and sherry casks. It also includes some malt matured in the fantastic Miszunars casks contributing hints of spicy and fragrant oak. A lot of vanilla ice-cream.Sweet and spicy. Peaches on syrup, raspberries and honey. Clean finish with hint of cinnamon finish.
