Established in 1923, Yamazaki is Japan's oldest distillery. Yamazaki is often referred to as being the pioneer of Japanese whisky and is Suntory's flagship single malt.Today, it is the country’s largest and most recognizable producer of quality whisky.

The Yamazaki 12 YO is known for its "noble" aroma. It hails from Kyoto,the capital of ancient Japan, which takes its nobility status up a notch or two.

Yamazaki 12 Year has rich, full-bodied mouthfeel which is surprising for its age. This whisky is aged in a combination of American, Spanish and Japanese oak barrels,adding influences from all three types of barrels and it definitely shows upon the palate.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Cinnamon, red apple, muscovado sugar and jasmine blossom.

Palate:Full-bodied and smooth. Sweet with vanilla, citrus notes with an undercurrent of spice just underneath all the candied notes balancing dusty cigarette ashand cedar wood dryness.
