Being the most prized possession in the Kavalan portfolio and the top of Kavalan's premium Solist range, the Fino Cask Solist was matured in the finest Fino Sherry butts that were used for wine making and was put on the top floor of the Taiwan distillery's warehouse, where the heat is at its most intense,providing essence of the sherry that none of Scottish distilleries could due to the colder aging conditions.

Every cask is specially selected by the master blender for its distinct character and fine distillery quality. This edition is produced in small batch of numbered bottles and individually hand bottled.

Tasting Notes:  

Dark gold amber colored. The rich aroma of sherry, with its creamy toffee and rich fudge qualities, and the slightest hint of chocolate blends with the fruity character of the spirit. The fruitiness is a complex, multi-layered blend of mango and over-ripe citrus fruit flavors that ends with a touch of green apples.

Natural sweetness on the tongue is accentuated with a gentle fudge flavor. The complex fruity flavors are layered with dry smoked wood aromas. Has a long finish and natural sweetness giving way to a pleasant mouth-drying sensation that leaves the connoisseur ready for the next sip!
