Founded in 1825, Faiveley are wines with actual market presence. Mercurey La Framboisiere is a “monopole” wine made by Domaine Faiveley in the Cote Chalonnaise, a sub-region of Burgundy. A“monopole” wine in Burgundy is a wine from a single vineyard that is owne dentirely by one wine producer.

Mercurey is widely regarded as the most important wine village in the region producing more wine than all other villageappellations combined. The vineyard produces wines with real character and is one of Faiveley’s most highly reputed wines. The wines produced here tend to be a bit fuller than their neighbors.

2015 Burgundy was an across-the-board success from the simplest Bourgognes to the great grand crus. The excellent growing season produced rich and fruity reds with beautiful tannins and a balance of acidities. (James suckling)
