Chivas Regal Mizunara is a limited edition blended Scotch made with Japanese flair. This special edition of Chivas Regal Mizunara is a unique signature blend, crafted by master blender Colin Scott, from a hand selection of malt and grain whiskies.

Mizunara is a type of oak native and unique to Hokkaido, Japan, particularly known for its high moisture content. Coupled with the fact that in Japan, where traditions dictate that Mizunara can only be made into casks if the oak itself is at least 200 years old, the union between the Chivas house, which is famous for its generous flavour profile, and the revered Japanese oak takes whisky connoisseurs on a sensual journey that will surely delight both the palate and the olfaction.

 

Due to its rarity, Mizunara commands a significantly higher market price compared to other typical oak casks used in whisky maturation and highly regarded for its impact on whisky.

 

Tasting Notes: 

Nose: White peach,toffee-coated pears and vanilla-rich cream. Subtly nutty.

Palate: Floral and sweet,though hints of baking spices bring balance and body.

Finish: Still packed with fruit, with a hint of aniseed hiding within.
