Champagne Drappier was founded in 1808 and remains owned by the Drappier family. Their vineyards today cover a 55 hectares of land located around Urville, where Pinot Noir, the predominant grape variety, finds its loveliest expression and allows the production of very elegant, aromatic wines.

Champagne Drappier Rose Brut is 100% Pinot Noir. It is made using the saignée method i.e. a slight first pressing of the red grapes (the default method in Champagne is by adding a portion of red wine into the blend). Saignée champagnes are richer in taste and have a vinous character which makes them particularly suitable to be served with food.

Tasting Notes: This non-vintage rosé Champagne is beautifully balanced, with aromas of red berries including strawberries, raspberries and cherries filling the bouquet. On the palate summer fruit flavours develop with a distinct herby note and a delicate floral character, adding complexity to the Champagne. The finish is crisp, dry and incredibly refreshing. A beautiful rosé from the artisan producers at the Drappier Champagne house.

Food Matching: Antipasti, salmon en papillotte, grilled pink lamb, strawberry salad

 Serving Temperature: 6-8 oc
